One advantage to having plastic surgery in Costa Rica is that it’s a beautiful place to recuperate. You don’t know anyone there; so if you want to go on an excursion or lie on the beach with some bandages or bruises, who cares? Let people stare if they want; you’ll be enjoying yourself regardless.
