Ocean Park Hong Kong – Guide to Hong Kong’s Marine, Aquarium and Theme Park

Ocean Park

Ocean Park is one of Hong Kong’s top attractions located in the southern district. With a huge diversity of activities it will entertain you and your family for a full day without fail.

The Park opened in 1977 and has since expanded to cover a large area full of entertainment from rollercoaster rides to education and conservation.

A large mountain separates the park so a cable car, shuttle or the Ocean Express Train will help you to get around the park. Several busses offer transport to the park while there are car parks available at a cost. The city bus is probably the most convenient and cheapest way of getting to the Park as the bus leaves MTR Station or Central Pier No.7 daily. Check their schedule.

Within this large complex you can visit a mini zoo, a sea aquarium for jellyfish and goldfish, explore an underground tunnel within the shark aquarium, visit the animal kingdom and the dolphin and sea lion shows before experiencing the many rides the park has to offer. When you are in need of a break you can dine at one of the many restaurants onsite before finding your way around the ‘Dinosaur – Now and Then’ exhibit and Dolphin Breading Centre.

You can buy tickets to the Park online, however be warned that prices have been hiked up recently so don’t be shocked it the prices are higher than you thought.
