Tianjin Airport Guide to the Tianjin Binhai International Airport Airport Hotels

Tianjin Airport

The airport servicing Tianjin is the Tianjin Binhai International Airport. It is located in east Tianjin within the Dongli District, just 13km from the city centre.

Within China, it is one of the fastest growing airports with substantial increases in both passenger and cargo traffic. In 2008 alone there was a 20.2% passenger increase whilst cargo traffic increased a massive 33.2%. This said, it is no wonder Tianjin Binhai International Airport features as one of the top 12 of China’s busiest airports. To cope with the increases in traffic the airport has expanded with a new state of the art terminal that is approximately three times larger than the original building.

When you land in Tianjin you can generally find taxis fairly easily which will take you into the city centre. Most cabs use a meter, however you can often bargain a fixed price if you know how much the ride will cost.

If you want to stay in a hotel close to the airport there are several options. The Binhai Aierbo International Hotel is a mere 0.5km from the airport itself while the Jinluan Hotel and the Crowne Plaza are both around 5km away.

If you need to get in touch with the airport, you can use their Airport Service Line: (86) 022 24902012.
