Isle of Man Ferry Routes Ferries Crossings to Europe

Isle of Man ferries going to and from the island are provided by The Isle of man Steam Packet Company. They are the major ferry company working in conjunction with Seacat and carry people from the port of Douglas to destinations in Ireland and the United Kingdom. The main aim of the company is to provide an efficient and speedy service with the fastest crossing times. The modern fleet consists of fast craft vessels and also traditional car and passenger ferries. A year round service is in place offering competitive prices and promising high standards of on board service.


Sailing routes

Isle of Man Steam Packet offer services going from the port of Douglas to Belfast with a sailing time of 2 hours and 45 minutes and three crossings per day. The service from Douglas to Liverpool has a sailing time of 2hours and 30 minutes and crosses twice a day. There is also a service available from Douglas to Heysham that takes 2hours and thirty minutes crossing twice daily. The route from Douglas to Dublin only crosses three times weekly with a sailing time of three hours.

If you're in a hurry there are Fastcat services available which will greatly reduce your travel time. The Fastcat service between The Isle of Man and Heysham only operates at peak times during the summer. If you're traveling from Douglas to either Dublin or Belfast, the Fastcraft service operates between Easter and the last week of September.

The Sea Terminal at the port of Douglas can be reached by the A1 from the West, The A5 from the South and the A2 from the North.

Why the Isle of Man?

Douglas is the capital of The Isle of Man and is a pretty seaside town with a great deal of Victorian architecture that features a beautiful old seaside promenade. The Isle of Man itself offers lovely scenery and is a great location for short breaks giving you a chance to blow away the cobwebs with some invigorating sea air. Enjoy walks along the beaches and cliff tops, and don't forget the famous annual Isle of Man TT motorcycle race with its hair raising course of tight bends.
