The Kaluakoi Resort on Molokai

thmb

The Kaluakoi Resort and Golf Club is set on a lush 6000 acres that encompasses some of the finest landscapes that Molokai has to offer and is located on the island's western most shore.

As with most forms of accommodation scattered throughout the Hawaiian Islands, the Kaluakoi Resort has chosen to adopt the characteristic Polynesian style of architecture which nicely compliments the ocean views and the crisp green gorges.

The rooms throughout the resort follow a similar decorative style, incorporating such features as wicker furniture, private lanais and lightened wood fittings. Depending where in the Kaluakoi Resort you reside, your room will include a fantastic view of the resort's manicured grounds complete with palm trees and shaded seaside bluffs. When it comes to amenities, the rooms have most modern conveniences TV and VCR, fridge, and some are have their own kitchens that are fully equipped and ready for use.

When it comes to shared facilities the resort has its fair share. Some of the big crowd drawers include the freshwater pool that overlooks the ocean, which is serviced by a small bar right by the waters edge. What could be better tropical sunshine, a poolside setting and a mai tai! If you are looking at doing something a little more energetic, then why not take a stroll down to one of the four tennis courts or peruse the fairways of the Kaluakoi Golf Course.

The course is known throughout the island and was designed by Ted Robinson. All 18 holes have been carefully structured to tie in with the natural settings of the area, so expect to encounter the white sands of Popahaku Beach and an undulating landscape that can prove to be quite a challenge. If you are new to the game, then why not sign up for a couple of lessons with an onsite PGA professional or have a go perfecting your swing on the driving range! Golf equipment and accessories can be bought at the golf club's Pro Shop.

A number of off site activities are supported by the resort's location. Kepuhi Beach, Pohaku Beach, and Kawakiu Beach are all located nearby which means that snorkeling, fishing, horse riding, ocean tours, beach volleyball and surfing are just some of the things that are available to guests staying at the Kaluakoi Resort.
