Find your perfect ski holiday in France online

Ski Holidays in France, particulalry Meribel, can without a doubt provide whatever it is you desire from a holiday package. Resorts ranging from small beautiful villages to giant manmade ski towns are scattered throughout the Alps and make France the number one choice for a skiing holiday in Europe.

A dozen websites already exist boasting the merits of each of these various resorts, so if you are looking for a ski holiday in France but have no time to read, digest and assess all this information we have selected our top three resorts to help you.

Meribel

We believe that Meribel is the most scenic and romantic ski resort in France. It is in the heart of the Three Valleys or ‘Les Trois Vallées’ region and offers access to a huge number of pistes within this domain. Meribel has a little of everything, without going overboard in any one area. Fast black runs turn smoothly into picturesque pine tree lined blues, and the most wonderful French restaurants by evening become enchanting French coffee houses during the day. Meribel has long been established as one of France’s favourite ski resorts but it has not let this status go to its head and it continues year on year to improve and maintain it status as many people’s number one.

Les Arcs

Our feeling is that Les Arcs is the best purpose built ski resort in France. This means it is easy to get to, the accommodation is near to the slopes, it is traffic free, every level of skier is catered for and a full range of après ski is available. As with all purpose built resorts you do lose a bit of the natural beauty of resorts that have developed from alpine villages, but for anyone looking for simple skiing fun, with every possible desire right on your doorstep, then Les Arcs is worth checking out.

Val d’isère

We will not lie; Val d’isère is one of our favourite ski resorts in the world. It has the beauty and enchantment of a typical French alpine resort, it has the range of slopes and efficient ski lifts you can expect in the massive resorts in America, it has the convenience and amenities of a purpose built ski resort and it provides any possible après ski that even the most diverse and extreme group of friends could wish for. We could go on and on and on but we won’t. Suffice to say if you take your next skiing holiday in Val d’isère, you will not be disappointed.

Taking a ski holiday in France is a wonderful and unique experience and really brings home the true nature of a skiing holiday; the three resorts outlined above bring this to you in three different ways, but in ways that are unmistakably French.
