Timeshare User Groups

A timeshare user group can very useful to all involved but if you're new to the concept of vacation ownership then a support group can be invaluable in helping you through your first purchase. You will find whole communities of people online who are more than happy to share their experiences, give their opinions and offer advice on any timeshare related issue you may have.

One online resource that is definitely worth a visit is the Timeshare Users Group, or TUG. This is a large volunteer organization that has been set up by timeshare owners with the intention of providing information, advice and a point of contact for anyone involved in vacation ownership. Joining the bulletin board is free but to gain full access to the website you need to become a member. For a small annual fee of $15 you can access resort reviews, ratings, classifieds and get in touch with other timeshare owners. You can get in touch with timeshare owners concerning resales, exchanges, advice or simply to compare notes. Click here to visit their website.

The American Resort Development Association (ARDA) is another valuable source for information. Click here to visit their website. While it may not be a user group it is a very a good resource for learning more about what timeshares are, the latest developments or to find out about the legal aspects of timeshares. They can also provide legal support and protection for timeshare owners through the Resort Owners Coalition (ARDA ROC).

Fairfield Owners Group is not owned by Fairfield Inc, but is run by owners of Fairfield timeshares. It offers support to those owning Fairfield timeshares and is a good place to go to share information, tips, advice and stories on the various Fairfield resorts and the organization itself.
