For the step by step example I will be using the context for Timeshare - see http://www.indigoguide.com/timesharecontext.xml

The context file is relatively simple in that we identified the following refinements that may be of interest to users:

The first label name is buying_timeshare followed by selling_timeshare, rent_timeshare, timeshare_management, top_timeshares and timeshare_trouble. These are the label names that have been allocated when it comes to labeling the site to relevant URL's.

You will also notice from the context file we have included 3 more labels. These are what we call "INVISIBLE LABELS" - delete_timeshare_guide, promote_timeshare_guide and timeshare_guide. Please note it is not necessary to shadow the background labels to enable them to work. We include them as we use the Co-op marker to annotate relevant or un relevant URL's directly from the search boxes we created on the site. These "INVISIBLE LABELS" will not be necessary once the Co-op marker includes information on the background labels (when this takes place this page will be updated to reflect this information). When using the "Add Annotation" feature from Co-op - see http://www.google.com/coop/marker - this is the display for the timeshares context file:

The 3 "INVISIBLE LABLES" appear on the right hand side without a title. They are delete_timeshare_guide, promote_timeshare_guide and timeshare_guide in that order, top to bottom. FIRST the label timeshare_guide.

This label was created to be included into the background labels so that when the user applies a search from the site the DEFAULT search will only include searches on timeshare - see
<BackgroundLabels>
<Label name="delete_timeshare_guide" mode="ELIMINATE"/>
<Label name="promote_timeshare_guide" mode="HIGH_PLUS"/>
<Label name="timeshare_guide"/>
</BackgroundLabels>

This label specifies that all results MUST include what is specifies in this label IE
<Rewrite>timeshare</Rewrite>

I am sure you are now getting the picture. So this also applies to delete_timeshare_guide and promote_timeshare_guide which are specified "ELIMINATE" and "HIGH_PLUS" respectively.

I will give screen shots of the actual example I have used to both promote and eliminate URL's on this timeshare example.
