The Radisson Kauai Beach Resort is located four miles to the north of Lihue, home to Kauai's main airport, making it very convenient for tourists who don't want to travel too far once they arrive at the island. Guests will be glad to know that the resort operates a free shuttle service. Lihue is on the east coast of the island and this is where all the action is with most of the population living on the east coast.This is the commercial centre and is excellent for shopping and experiencing the island's nightlife.
The location of the resort not only gives easy access to east coast attractions but is also about an equal distance from both the north coast and the south coast.

The resort was taken over by Radisson towards the end of 2000 and since then it has undergone extensive refurbishment, this includes digging in a new pool and erecting a well demanded health club. It is located on a beach front which makes for great views over the ocean, but unfortunately the beach is not suitable for swimming which was one of the major reason's for fitting the new pool that comes complete with a sandy bottom.

The Radisson Beach Resort is next door to the Wailua golf course. There is a cocktail party nightly next to the pool with free drinks and a Polynesian dance show. There are four tennis courts, two of which have lighting, with complimentary tennis. Their spa and fitness centre offers a variety of spa treatments, sauna, massage and new exercise equipment.

A range of services and packages are offered by the Radisson, such as wedding services, car rental, conference facilities, internet access, special rates for seniors and car packages. The rooms are not huge but are newly decorated and very clean. There is suitable accommodation for those on their honeymoon in Kauai, families or business travelers. The decor has a Hawaiian flavour which adds to the lively atmosphere and the rooms themselves have a/c, a dataport, fridge, TV with VCR and coffee maker to name just a few. The service at the resort is excellent, making it an even more pleasant place to stay. The resort has on on-site restaurant and bar, and an Internet café that molds together with a well thought out art gallery.

The resort also provides a luau (Hawaiian food and entertainment) and access to mountain biking, hiking, kayaking, boat tours on the nearby Wailua River, fishing, horse riding and even art tours for the more culturally-minded. There is an activity desk to help you plan your activities in order to make the most of your holiday and water sports equipment can be hired out. .
