Cheap Hotels in New York - Lodging Guides
Finding cheap hotels in New York is a simple exercise provided that you know where to look. There are a few hotels that offer rooms at under $100 a night and a number of others that offer reasonable accommodation for between $100 and $250 per night. Murray Hill and the Midtown are good places to look for economical accommodation, while a few good deals can also be found in the Upper West Side. In all cases it is essential to book your accommodation well in advance, as hotels fill up quickly, especially during the high season.
Murray Hill:
Murray Hill is an extremely central location that is close to some of New York's major sights including Times Square, Madison Square Gardens and the Empire State building. It is also close to major the department stores and designer boutiques which line 5th Street, so you won't have far to carry your parcels.

You will be hard pressed to find a better deal than the Herald Square Hotel. The hotel was once the headquarters of Life magazine and still has a aura about it that leaves you wondering if you might perhaps have travelled back in time for a moment. Midtown

Upper West Side :
