If you're craving a weekend of tasty jablecný závin (apple strudel) accompanied by world famous pivo (beer), you're in luck. Flying to Eastern Europe is relatively cheap, quick and easy; Prague flights from most cities in the UK put you in the Czech Republic within two hours.
Most major airlines provide service to Prague including British Airways, Czech Airlines and KLM. They depart from any number of airports in the UK. An assortment of budget airlines also offer good deals on Prague flights and depart from most national and regional airports:
- Jet2 leaves from Belfast and Leeds

If you're looking for cheap flights, be aware that certain times of the year are much more expensive than others; Prague's high season picks up around the end of March and lasts through October. Certain holiday weekends drive prices into the stratosphere so beware of bank holidays in March and May and the week between Christmas and New Year's.
On the other hand, some terrific deals can be found during the less expensive low season which runs from the beginning of January to mid-March, and again from the beginning of November to the end of December.
The best place to find cheap flights is online and at comparison sites such as Expedia, Skyscanner or Cheapflights. At these sites you are able to search with your departing city and destination and it will calculate the cheapest flights over the major airlines. The key to cheap flights is to remain flexible. If you have your travel dates set in stone before booking your flights, your options will be more limiting and likely be more expensive. You may even find some real gems like a return flight for as low as £52!Prague's international airport is located approximately 20 km outside the city. To get to and from the city:
